The Spiral Staircase (1946)

Nothing thrilling about this thriller. Serial killer is getting rid of all girls with flaws because "there's no room in the world for imperfection." Dorothy Maguire is, conveniently, mute. She's imperfect AND she can't scream -- bonus! Plods predictably along.
