The War Zone (1999)

This is an emotional wrecking ball. Normal family welcomes a new child. Mum's tired but content, Dad gets on well with everyone, very loving to Mum. Older sister & brother are friends. Could almost be considered a horror film in that the secret at the center of the story crashes through all this normalcy and leaves one gasping in shock. So morose and sullen and gray. I almost couldn't stand it and yearned for it to end. It was well-done and well-acted...but still, it was so horrible.
