Ride the Pink Horse (1947)

Interesting noir-lite. The back-story is deliberately shadowy and it's pretty effectively structured. The big problem with this film are the two leads: Montgomery (too slight to be the tough guy the script calls for) and Hendrix (too caucasian to be a wise but wide-eyed senorita).
