The Village (2004)

What a huge disappointment. It's obvious what the "twist" is (I figured it out before I ever even rented the thing) -- but I thought that it wouldn't matter much if the film itself was well done. It isn't in the least. The dialogue is laughable…the blind girl's not blind-acting enough...and the retarded man-boy is hostile and frightening for no discernible reason. Sloppy and stupid.
