The Princess and the Frog (2009)

It felt really odd to have voodoo play such a large part in this story aimed at children (at least I think that would be the target demographic). The main "trick" of the movie has the Prince Charming fellow imprisoned as a frog while someone takes his form by wearing a pendant full of the prince's blood. Um....

But without the voodoo stuff, the story is just plain weak. We're given no reason to believe that the frog nee human couple would even tolerate each other, let alone fall in love. And the animal sidekicks come off as stupid/desperate rather than naive/charming.

A boring misfire.
